Connected Systems Institute (CSI)
At CSI, industry collaborates with academia on research to support the development of advanced manufacturing processes. This includes working with the tools that support domain-specific research and education on the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), factory automation, and the implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions. CSI is the nation’s first Microsoft AI lab focused on manufacturing.
Applied Research Institute
ARI was created to support rapid innovation for 5G mobile network deployment and, in partnership with STEP, has expanded to include other advanced wireless technologies (i.e., Private Cellular, Wi-Fi 6, IoT connectivity, edge computing, AI/ML, Industry 4.0 solutions and cybersecurity. This location also hosts the Indy Autonomous Race Cars.
